More than just a barbers...

We are more than just a barbers that can produce a killer skin fade or mullet. We can also provide highlights and colours to really make your look stand out from the rest. 

We also open late nights on a Friday and earlier on a Saturday to try and be open for everyone regardless of your work hours. 

Kid Friendly

We understand that taking a young child to have a haircut can be stressful for both the child and parent. To try and make the experience as relaxed as possible we have a child friendly kids chair in the style of an 'Audi TT'. We also have toy cars, dinosaurs and kids friendly books as a distraction. For the teenagers, (and adults) we have a PlayStation set up for you to play with while your waiting. - It could be the hardest part is getting them to leave! 

Autism & Disability Friendly

I have a lot of experience in dealing with clients that have autism. Every client is different and struggles with things in different ways, so it's unfair to say you know exactly what to do; but there are things that can help. I would often recommend bringing in a client with autism in before the haircut date. Let them see the shop, familiarise themselves and get used to the environment. Hopefully next time they come in, they will feel more at ease. Your more than welcome to pop in whenever your passing. If it would make you feel more comfortable, book an appointment at the end of the day. This way you know that your the last client, and have less time pressure. There is an opportunity to leave your stylist a note when booking your appointment online,  feel free to tell us anything you would like us to know before the service and we will do our best to accommodate. 

For clients in a wheel chair, we have a mirror positioned perfect height so that you don't even have to get out pf your chair. The gowns are big enough to cover you entirely making the service as easy as possible. The shop is entirely one level and an open space so it's easy for you to move around.

It was different and alternative styles that first inspired me to be a hairstylist. I hear all the time that clients struggle to find somewhere thats willing to push a style and give them the look they strive to achieve. Well look no further! The more alt the better!!

Traditional Hot Towel Shave

Bringing old traditional skills with a modern flare.

This service is for men both with and without a beard.

What does the service involve?

1. BEARD SHAPE UP - creating your desired look. (If you have a beard, if not straight to the second step)

2. EXFOLIANT CREAM - removes dead skin cells, dirt, and oil, which creates a smoother surface for the razor to glide over, leading to a closer and more comfortable shave.

3. HOT TOWEL - This has been steamed for 20 minutes prior to the service. Heat opens pores, softens skin, and improves circulation, which helps with cleansing, shaving, and product absorption. It also softens the beard hair making it easier to shave with no irritation.

4. SHAVING CREAM - mixed and applied with a soft bristle brush and bowl. Shaved with traditional cut throat razor. (Full clean shave or beard line up)

5. SECOND SHAVE - with oil. Its all about the detail, so a thorough going over to make sure its perfect.

6. COLD TOWEL - straight from the fridge. Not only does this rehydrate your skin, and closes the skin pores but its super refreshing after a hot service.

7. FINISHING OFF - A dusting over with talcum powder containing aftershave. This softens skin and reduces any irritation for sensitive skin. We also shape your eyebrows with the cut throat if you wish.

This service cost £20 and lasts for around half an hour. Our aim is to have our client looking sharp enough for any event, but also feeling relaxed after an enjoyable experience. 

The price is reduced on the day if booked with a haircut.

You are guaranteed to be met by Pumpkin & Teddy our barber dogs who will insist on sitting on your lap during your service. (Not compulsory)

In the shop we also have a small selection of pets in which the younger clients usually tend to enjoy. (All can be avoided if this really isn't your thing)
